1. About BaseMakers

BaseMakers provides cosmetic bases, cosmetic ingredients, actives, botanical extracts, formulation kits and educational information intended to make cosmetic customization and formulation more accessible.

Our bases may be used as supplied or customized with compatible ingredients according to the usage instructions provided for the respective product.

2. Product Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, ingredient information, recommended usage levels, compatibility information, images and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However, minor variations in colour, texture, appearance or consistency may occur between batches, particularly in products containing naturally derived ingredients.

Packaging may also be updated without prior notice.

3. Customizing BaseMakers Products

BaseMakers products may allow the addition of selected actives and/or botanical extracts.

Customers must follow the recommended:

  • Usage levels
  • Ingredient compatibility
  • Addition limits
  • Mixing instructions
  • Temperature requirements, where applicable
  • pH requirements, where applicable
  • Hygiene and storage instructions
  • Only ingredients confirmed as suitable for a particular base should be added.

Adding ingredients outside our recommendations may alter the product's pH, texture, viscosity, colour, fragrance, preservation, stability or overall performance.

Once a BaseMakers product has been modified or mixed with ingredients by the customer, the resulting formulation is considered a customer-customized product.

BaseMakers cannot guarantee the stability, preservation, safety or performance of a formulation that has been modified outside the instructions and recommended limits provided by us.

4. Actives & Botanical Extracts

Cosmetic ingredients can behave differently depending on concentration, pH, solubility and the overall formulation.

The fact that an ingredient is natural, botanical or plant-derived does not automatically mean that it is suitable for every person or every formulation.

Always follow the usage instructions provided with the ingredient and the compatible BaseMakers base.

Do not exceed recommended usage levels.

5. Patch Testing & Individual Sensitivity

Skin and hair can respond differently to cosmetic ingredients.

We recommend performing an appropriate patch test before using a new or customized product extensively, particularly when introducing active ingredients or botanical extracts.

Discontinue use if irritation or an undesirable reaction occurs.

If you have a known sensitivity, allergy or medical skin condition, seek appropriate professional advice before introducing unfamiliar cosmetic ingredients.

6. Educational Information

Formulation guides, recipes, videos, articles, ingredient explanations and other educational material provided by BaseMakers are intended for general cosmetic education and product-use guidance.

This information is not medical advice and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Product results may vary between individuals.

7. Orders & Payments

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance.

Prices displayed on the website are in Indian Rupees (INR) unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges or other charges will be displayed during checkout where relevant.

BaseMakers reserves the right to correct pricing or product-information errors and to cancel or refuse an order where necessary.

If payment has already been collected for an order that we are unable to fulfil, the applicable amount will be refunded.

8. Shipping, Returns & Refunds

Shipping timelines, eligibility for returns, damaged-product claims, cancellations and refunds are governed by our respective Shipping & Delivery Policy and Returns & Refund Policy.

9. Storage & Shelf Life

Products should be stored according to the instructions provided on the packaging or product page.

Exposure to excessive heat, moisture, direct sunlight, contamination or unsuitable storage conditions may affect product quality and shelf life.

Customization may also affect the original characteristics or shelf life of a base depending on what has been added and how the product has been handled.

10. Personal Use & Commercial Formulation

Unless specifically stated otherwise, BaseMakers' consumer formulation guides and customization instructions are intended primarily for personal and educational use.

If you intend to manufacture or sell finished cosmetic products commercially using BaseMakers materials, you are responsible for ensuring that your finished formulation, manufacturing process, testing, labelling and sale comply with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements.

11. Intellectual Property

All website content, including but not limited to BaseMakers branding, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, formulation guides, educational material, videos, text and original creative content, is owned by or licensed to BaseMakers unless otherwise stated.

Content may not be copied, reproduced, republished, commercially distributed or presented as your own without prior written permission.
